Sir Ruggero M. Santilli obtained his Ph. D. in theoretical physics at the University of Torino, Italy in 1965; he then emigrated to the U.S.A. in 1967 where he was on the faculty of the University of Miami, Boston University, MIT, and Harvard University under financial support from NASA, UFOSR and DOE. In 1991 he accepted the position of President and Professor at the Institute for Basic Research in Florida. He is the author of 345 papers published in refereed journals and twenty post Ph. D. monographs in mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology; he is the Editor of a number of scientific journals in mathematics and physics and was awarded twelve U. S. patents. He is internationally known for developing new mathematics (known as Lie-admissible, Lie-isotopic and isodual mathematics) for the construction of hadronic mechanics, chemistry and biology, and for the verification of the 1935 Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen argument that "quantum mechanics is not a complete theory." These discoveries lead to the prediction of new technologies, incompatible with quantum mechanics but fully compatible with hadronic mechanics, which he developed as Chief Scientist at various U. S. publicly traded and private companies.

Born and raised in the UK, and educated at the universities of Cambridge, Sheffield and Birmingham he first trained as a physicist, then became a metallurgical engineer, but finally has spent most of his life in foundries where he thinks he has made more cylinder heads than he has had hot dinners. He developed the Cosworth Casting Process, then a novel process making Al alloy cylinder heads and blocks for the Formula One racing engines, using counter-gravity filling of molds by electromagnetic pumps. The process has been taken up by Ford, Nemak and General Motors for the production of automotive cylinder blocks the USA. This process still has the world record for production rates of sound V6 and V8 blocks. During his 15 years as Professor of Casting Technology in the University of Birmingham, UK, the nature of turbulence and the generation of casting defects was clarified for the first time. The new concepts included entrainment, the double nature of oxide films causing them to act as cracks (bifilms), and the development of casting techniques to avoid bifilm formation. He has worked for over ten years with his partner in the USA, John Grassi, to set up a new casting operation, Alotech, helping to develop the new and exciting Ablation Casting Process. Although currently demonstrated for Mg and Al alloy castings, exploratory work is underway to expand the process to steels. Honda have become a major licensee. He is the author of the foundry text books “CASTINGS” and “CASTINGS PRACTICE”. These 1991 and 2004 publications are much quoted but getting awfully out-of-date. His new “COMPLETE CASTING HANDBOOK” published in 2011 and revised in 2015 is not light bedtime reading, but is a bargain for the determined and fearless reader with an open mind. The “MINI CASTING HANDBOOK” 2018 is a basic text specifically written for the shop floor foundryman. His invited lecture to the American Foundry Society in 2012, “Stop Pouring; Start Casting”, recommended the industry to move away from all pouring of metal, re-designing their foundries to adopt new melting and counter-gravity techniques for the production of defect-free castings. His latest book “THE ORIGIN OF FRACTURE – THE MECHANISMS OF METALLURGICAL FAILURE” published in 2020 describes the possible elimination of failure mechanisms such as cracking, creep, fatigue, stress corrosion cracking and hydrogen embrittlement in steels and high temperature alloys by eliminating turbulent pouring of the liquid metal. These low cost and simple developments promise a revolution in metallurgy and engineering. We shall be able to produce metals which will not fail; metals we can trust.

Philip W. T. Pong received a B.Eng. from the University of Hong Kong (HKU) in 2002 with 1st class honours. Then he obtained a PhD in engineering at the University of Cambridge in 2005. He was a postdoctoral researcher at the Magnetic Materials Group at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) for three years. Currently he is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT). His research interest focuses on the fault detection, predictive maintenance, and anomaly detection of power grid. He is the Founding Director of the Green Technology Research and Training Laboratory, leading the research and education activities of offshore wind energy at NJIT. Philip Pong is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (FIET), a Fellow of the Institute of Physics (FInstP), a Fellow of the Energy Institute (FEI), a Fellow of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (FIMMM), a Fellow of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (FHKIE), a Fellow of the NANOSMAT Society (FNS), a chartered physicist (CPhys), a chartered engineer (CEng), a chartered energy engineer, a registered professional engineer (R.P.E. in Electrical, Electronics, Energy), and a Senior Member of IEEE (SMIEEE). He serves on the editorial boards for several IEEE and SCI journals.

Goran Strbac is a Professor of Energy Systems, with extensive experience in advanced modelling and analysis of operation, planning, security and economics of energy systems. He led the development of novel advanced analysis approaches and methodologies that have been extensively used to inform industry, governments and regulatory bodies about the role and value of emerging new technologies and systems in supporting cost effective evolution to smart low carbon energy future. He is currently Director of the joint Imperial-Tsinghua Research Centre on Intelligent Power and Energy Systems, Leading Author in IPCC WG 3, Member of OFGEM RIIO-2 Challenging Group, Member of the UK Smart System Forum, Member of the European Technology and Innovation Platform for Smart Networks for the Energy Transition, and Member of the Joint EU Programme in Energy Systems Integration of the European Energy Research Alliance. He co-authored 4 books and published over 200 technical papers.

Dr. Kenji Sorimachi is affiliated to Department of Microbiology, Dokkyo Medical University, and then to Educational Support Center, Dokkyo Medical University, where Dr. Kenji Sorimachi is currently working as Professor. Dr. Kenji Sorimachi has authored and co-authored several national and international publications and also working as a reviewer for reputed professional journals. Dr. Kenji Sorimachi is having an active association with different societies and academies around the world. Dr. Kenji Sorimachi has newly developed the innovative method for CO2 fixation and Storage.

Dr. Wang received his BSc and MSc degrees from Tongji University, China and his PhD degree from Virginia Tech, USA. Dr. Wang is an internationally recognized expert in the field of micromechanical characterization and modeling of granular soils. His research aims to explore the multiscale physics and mechanics underlying the macroscopic soil behavior using the discrete element method (DEM) simulation and X-ray computed tomography (CT). His works over the past 20 years include the X-ray CT characterization of micro-structures and micro-morphologies of geomaterials, and the DEM modeling and analysis of fundamental soil behaviors of crushable sands and their applications in various kinds of geotechnical engineering problems such as pile foundation, slope stability and retaining structures, etc. Dr. Wang has received a number of prestigious international research awards including VEBLEO fellow 2022, International Association of Advanced Materials (IAAM) award 2022, Geotechnical Research Medal (UK Institution of Civil Engineers) 2011 and Higher Education Institutions Outstanding Research Award - Natural Science Award (the Ministry of Education of China) 2010. His research has attracted over 8 million HKD of external grants including the Research Grant Council (RGC) of Hong Kong SAR and National Science Foundation of China (NSFC). Dr. Wang currently serves as an Associate Editor of Géotechnique, and Editorial Board Member of Computers and Geotechnics, Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering, and Soils and Foundations. So far Dr. Wang has published over 90 SCI journal papers and delivered over 30 keynote/invited lectures, and has a Google Scholar H-index of 31. Dr. Wang is among the list of world's top 2% scientists in 2022.

Kyeong-Hwa Kim has been a faculty member in the Seoul National University of Science and Technology, Seoul, South Korea since August 2002. He has extensive experience in research and teaching in areas of ac machine drive systems, the control and diagnosis of power systems, power electronics, renewable energy, and DSP-based control applications. His current research interests include distributed power generation, DC microgrid, renewable energy, and power converter control. Dr. Kim is a member of the IEEE, published several papers in peer-reviewed journals, and served as reviewers.

Sepideh Akhbarifar conducts research in physics and materials science at the Vitreous State Laboratory/Physics Department of ‘The Catholic University of America’ in Washington, DC, and teaches as adjunct faculty in the School of Engineering. She holds a PhD in physic and two masters’ in chemical engineering and in nuclear environmental protection. Her research interests focus on environmental protection, including energy efficiency, reduction of CO 2 emissions, and clean air. Her research comprises currently thermoelectric ceramics, low CO 2 -emitting cement (geopolymers) for construction and to fixate long-lived radionuclides, and cyclone de-dusters. Sepideh holds two patents and was honored as ‘Young Women Inventor 2010’ by the National Elites Foundation in Iran. she publishes widely and has contributed a chapter to a book on thermoelectricity. She presented her work worldwide at scientific conferences, many times as invited speaker. Sepideh is actively engaged in several scientific societies and as a reviewer for several journals. At the MRS Fall meeting 2022 in Boston she is the lead organizer of Symposium EQ01 ‘Thermoelectricity’.

Dr. Tony Roulstone established and teaches on the Nuclear Energy Masters programme in the Department of Engineering at the University of Cambridge. His research interests are the economics and safety of nuclear power with a focus on Small Modular Reactors. He is leading several SMR research projects in the UK. Also, he is involved with projects on the industrialization and the economics of fusion and the design of energy systems for net-zero in 2050. He was a visiting Professor of Nuclear Engineering at City University in Hong Kong 2012-2018. He writes for the technical press on nuclear economics and policy matters and he is leading a group on energy storage needs for the Royal Society Working Group on Energy Storage. He received his degree from the University of Cambridge and has spent much of his career in the nuclear and aerospace industries, starting with UKAEA working on fast reactor systems and including 20 years at Rolls-Royce where he became Managing Director of the Nuclear Group in 1992. Also, he was the Director of Engineering and Projects when the Vanguard nuclear submarines were being delivered. He has held several corporate RollsRoyce plc roles in both aero-space engineering and strategic transformation. He provides consultancy widely in the engineering, technology and services sectors and has completed several policy studies for Government on SMRs, and for politicians on business enterprise and on large-scale procurement. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, an Associate Member of the Nuclear Institute. He is an independent adviser on SMR design.

Alexander Eremin in 1970 had graduated from physical-power faculty of Moscow Engineering Physical University, majoring in "Physics and chemistry of fast-proceeding processes". From that time up to present, he works in the Joint Institute for High Temperatures Russian Academy of Sciences. In 1977 he defended the PhD thesis on the subject "Methods of Diagnostics of High-temperature Flows", in 1994 he has got a degree of Doctor of Phys-Math Sci, the thesis name "Nonequilibrium radiation of pulse jets". In 1995 Dr. A.Eremin organized Laboratory "Nonequilibrium processes" which he heads to the present. The area of his research is the kinetics of the pyrolysis and combustion processes. In recent years, he has been intensively concerned with the problems of the formation of condensed carbon nanoparticles from gaseous precursors and the influence of these processes on the energy release during combustion and detonation. In particular, he published an extended review on the formation of carbon nanoparticles [A.V. Eremin. Formation of carbon nanoparticles from the gas phase in shock wave pyrolysis processes. Progress in Energy and Combustion Science, 38, 1-40 (2012)]. In results of investigations of energy release during the formation of carbon nanoparticles, a new physical phenomenon “The detonation wave of condensation” was first discovered. Review describing this phenomenon is now published in [A V Eremin and V E Fortov 2021 Phys.-Usp. 64 1073]. Scientific activity of Prof. A. Eremin was supported by a number of international and Russian foundations and published in more than 200 articles indexed in Web of Science. The accumulated experience and knowledge of the processes of synthesis of nanoparticles in the gas phase allow him to set new promising tasks for future research, which are of serious fundamental importance, and quite specific applications for the ecology of combustion, the development of various nanotechnologies in industry. , medicine, etc.

Dr. Jorge Luis Camas is an Electronics Engineer from the Technological Institute of Tuxtla Gutiérrez (ITTG), Chiapas. He obtained his master's degree and doctorate in Optics from the National Institute of Astrophysics, Optics and Electronics (INAOE). He currently holds recognition in the National System of Researchers (SNI) Level I by CONACYT. He was awarded the State Merit Award for Research in 2016 in category III. Leader of the Optomechatronic Systems research line of the Master of Science in Mechatronic Engineering (MCIM). Leader of the Student Chapter group (SPIE) of the International Society of Optics and Photonics assigned to the ITTG. He participated in the creation of the MCIM, the Doctorate in Engineering Sciences (DCI) from ITTG, as well as the Bachelor's Degree in Physics and Mathematics from the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics of the Autonomous University of Chiapas (UNACH). He has published more than 30 rigorously peer-reviewed articles in journals indexed by Journal Citations Reports (JCR), 12 articles in journals from other indexes. He has more than 50 national and international conference reports and has directed CONACYT, TecNM, Interno and FOMIX research projects.

Arvin J Cruz, Ph.D. is an associate professor and chair of the chemistry department at Fort Hays State University (FHSU) in Hays, Kansas, USA. His research interests include the design of transition metal model complexes via Density Functional Theory (DFT) capable of excited state energy and electron transfer, and the synthesis and photophysical studies of such coordination complexes as photosensitizer dyes for solar energy conversion. He first joined FHSU in fall 2012 and teaches general chemistry courses for chemistry majors and advanced courses in instrumental analysis and physical chemistry. Prior to being named as department chair, he served as the college’s Scholarly Environment Comment (SEC) and was the general and program co-chair of the 2019 ACS (American Chemical Society) Midwest Regional Meeting (MWRM) in Wichita, Kansas. He earned his Ph.D. in chemistry and did postdoctoral work at Wichita State University (WSU) under the supervision of Paul Rillema, PhD. He earned his B.S. Chemistry degree from De La Salle University, Manila Philippines

Dr. Hideo Kumagai born in 1959, Hideo Kumagai graduated from Tokyo University of Science in 1982 with a bachelor's degree and started working at Tamagawa Seiki Co., Ltd. He specializes in inertial navigation systems, and has developed many types of inertial navigation systems, including mechanical, optical, and MEMS types. In 2000, he received a doctorate from Ritsumeikan University, and in 2019, he became a managing director at Tamagawa Seiki, and is currently focusing on the development of aircraft equipment.
