Prof. Donald S. Minckler has done his B.S. in Biology Reed College 1962, M.D. University of Oregon 1964, San Diego Naval Hospital rotating internship, flight surgeon training Pensacola Florida, USN HSA station hospital Taipei 1966-69, Sand Point NAS, Seattle 1969-70, Honourable discharge LCDR 1971. Residency in general and neuropathology University of Washington (UW) Seattle 1968-70. Switch to Opthalmology at UW 1970-73. Two-year fellowship in Ophthalmic Pathology at the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology (AFIP) in Washington, D.C. July 1973-75. Ophthalmology faculty UW 1975 , Doheny Eye Institute-USC, Director of Laboratories 1976-2005. MS Biomedical and Clinical Research USC 2006, UCI July 2006-2020. Peer-reviewed publications now number 216. Co-authored 18 published symposia, 132 abstracts, 37 editorials, 30 text chapters, and 8 manuals. Major research interest pathogenesis of optic nerve injury in glaucoma. Important national honour Editor-in-Chief Ophthalmology 1995-2003. Board Certified in Ophthalmology 1975, Anatomic Pathology 1978. Recipient of teaching wards at USC and UCI. Retired from the full-time faculty at UCI June 30, 2020.

Diana Lynn Barnes is a psychotherapist who has been specializing in women’s reproductive mental health for over 25 years. Frequently interviewed by the media, Dr. Barnes is widely published on all facets of women’s mental health around the child-bearing years. She wrote the guidelines for the assessment and treatment of perinatal mood and anxiety disorders for the Perinatal Advisory Council of Los Angeles. She is the editor and contributing author of the definitive reference text, Women’s reproductive mental health across the lifespan, published by Springer in 2014. She also authored a chapter on altruistic filicide and a chapter on pregnancy denial for Filicide and infanticide: Foundations in maternal mental health forensics (American Psychiatric Publishing, 2020).She is a past president of Postpartum Support International and currently sits on their Advisory council. In 2015, Dr. Barnes was appointed as the mental health consultant to the California Commission on the Status of Maternal Mental Health and in 2016 to the California Maternal Mortality Review Panel. She currently Chairs the Special Interest Group on Forensics and Maternal Mental Health for the International Marcé Society. In addition to private practice devoted to women’s mental health, Dr. Barnes is a forensic expert on issues pertaining to maternal mental health and the criminal justice system and is frequently retained by defence counsel on cases of pregnancy denial and neonaticide, postpartum psychosis and infanticide as well as child abuse and neglect where a child/children may have been harmed. She is on the editorial advisory board for Forensic Scholars and is a contributing author to that publication. She is featured in several documentaries that deal with women’s reproductive mental health, including “Not Carol”, “When the Bough Breaks” and “the story of Ashley Ard”. In 2009, Dr. Barnes received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Eli Lilly Foundation for her extraordinary contributions to the field of maternal mental health and child-bearing-related mood disorders. She maintains a private practice in the greater Los Angeles area.

Dr. Mohamed F Ibrahim is an energetic and enthusiastic Cardiac Surgeon with diverse training in the specialty spanning three distinct healthcare systems: The United Kingdom, Canada, and the Middle East. This has provided him with extensive experience in all aspects of adult cardiac surgery and has enabled me to extract the best parts of care provision from each of these unique districts and incorporate them into everyday practice. During long career he adopted an open-minded approach to seeking new challenges and broadening my skills and experience as a surgeon and a trainer. Throughout his travels in the Middle East, he led the development and recruitment of new cardiac units in a variety of cities. Currently working as a Consultant Cardiac Surgeon Dr.Ibrahim aspires share his knowledge & expertise whether in training, clinical governance, or any other administrative task to help the team he is working with reach the highest standards they aspire to.

Luis M. Ruilope is Professor at the Public Health and Preventive Medicine department of Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM) and expert researcher at Universidad Europea de Madrid, at the same time that he is Head of the Translational Research Group in Hypertension and Cardiorenal Disease at the Institute of Research i+12 at Hospital Universitario 12 de Octubre, in Madrid, Spain. Dr. Ruilope is an international fellow of the Council for High Blood Pressure Research and the Council of the Kidney in Cardiovascular diseases of the American Heart Association. He is member of the Scientific Committee of the International Society of Hypertension (ISH) and he was president of the Spanish Hypertension Society and the Hypertension Spanish League. ​He has authored more than 750 articles as first/senior author in international journals of first level in cardiovascular and renal disease issue. He is or has been a member of the editorial board of several journals including Journal of Hypertension, Blood Pressure, Medicina Clínica, Hypertension, Journal of Human Hypertension, Journal of the American Society of Nephrology and Nephrology and Dialysis & Transplantation

Mustafa Z. Younis is an internationally recognized scholar & tenured professor at Jackson State University, Mississippi, USA. Dr.Younis served as a member of the Executive Committee of the International Society for Research of Healthcare Financial Management. Dr.Younis has authored and published over 300 articles, abstracts and presentations in refereed journals and meetings, and universited in Europe, China and Middle East. He has presented at national and international conferences. Dr. Younis’ coauthored articles appeared in leading journals such as “Nature”,“the Lancet” and “JAMA” and European Journal of Health Economic. Dr.Younis has administrative experience as Chair of the Department of Health Policy and Management at Florida International University (FL, USA), where he led the accreditation efforts for the Healthcare Management Program.
