Stefan Glück, MD, PhD, is Vice President, Global Medical Affairs at Celgene Corporation since October 2014; prior to that he was until September 2014 a Sylvester Professor in the Department of Medicine, Miller School of Medicine at the University of Miami in Miami, Florida. He is a medical oncologist with a focus on breast cancer. From 2003–2008, he was the Clinical Director of the Braman Family Breast Cancer Institute, from January 2009 to December 2010 assistant Director of the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center and Associate Chief, Division Hematology and Medical Oncology. Dr. Glück was presented the America’s Top Oncologists 2008 award from Consumers’ Research Council of America; he also received the Best Doctors in America honor in since 2006, and has annually earned that prestige every year, including in 2014; this award was warranted after less than 3 years of working in the United States. Before his move to Miami, Dr Glück was Director, Southern Alberta Breast Cancer Program at the Tom Baker Cancer Center, a Professor in the departments of oncology, medicine, pharmacology, and therapeutics at the University of Calgary in Alberta, Canada, and Deputy Head, Department of Oncology at the University of Calgary. Dr Glück completed his medical studies at the Free University of West Berlin, Germany. The internship in Berlin was followed by residency in internal medicine and fellowship in hematology at the Heinrich Heine Universität in Düsseldorf, Germany, and a medical oncology and bone marrow transplant fellowship at the Princess Margaret Hospital, University of Toronto in Canada.

A/Prof Kathy Tucker is one of the leading cancer geneticists in Australia who brings clinical genetics expertise relevant to the management of individuals with inherited cancer syndromes. She founded the first Australian Familial Cancer Service in 1994 and is the former head of Hereditary Cancer Centre, Prince of Wales Hospital and a conjoint at the University of New South Wales POWH Clinical School. Since founding this service, A/Prof Tucker has been actively involved in local, state-wide and national working parties on genetics service and policy development. She is a key contributor to the cancer genetics stream of the NSW Cancer Institute- Evidence into Clinical Practice – eviQ.org.au. A/Prof Tucker has a keen research interest in rare and soft-tissue tumours and collaborates with the International Sarcoma Kindred Study (ISKS) researchers at the Garvan Institute of Medical Research. A/Prof Tucker is the clinical lead for the Surveillance study in Multi-Organ Cancer prone syndromes (SMOC+), established by the Genetic Cancer Risk Group at the Garvan Institute. She is also the clinical geneticist on multiple national genomic research projects, including Zero Childhood Cancer, Molecular Screening and Therapeutics (MoST) clinical trials, and Genetic Cancer Risk in the Young (RisC), where she leads the ethical return of germline cancer predisposition results. She has long been a strong advocate of ensuring ethical practice in genetics and positive psychosocial outcomes, generating research and education initiatives on these issues. A/Prof Tucker was awarded an Officer of the Order of Australia in June 2018’s AO for her distinguished service to medicine in the field of familial cancer genetics. She was also recognised for her work as a clinician, researcher and author; and for her contribution to medical education and to professional bodies.

Dr Judy Yam is currently an Associate Professor at the Department of Pathology at The University of Hong Kong. Dr Yam obtained her BSc degree from University of Washington, Seattle. She continued her education at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, where she received her MSc and PhD degrees. She joined the Department of Pathology, The University of Hong Kong as a postdoctoral fellow. She was then promoted to Assistant Professor and established her own research team. In 2010, she received the Outstanding Young Researcher Award from the University for her research excellence. She has long-standing interest in the basic and translational studies in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), particularly in tumor microenvironment and cancer metastasis. Her current research line focuses on the molecular basis of HCC metastasis driven by extracellular vesicles (EVs). Her work endeavors to dissect the functional role and signaling cascades of EV content. Her study also aims to identify promising EV biomarkers for the early diagnosis and novel therapeutic interventions to improve health, well-being and quality of life for cancer patients.

Prof. Huang earned his BS degree in Genetics and Genetic Engineering from Fudan University, Shanghai and went to the USA through the “China and United States Biochemistry Examination and Application (CUSBEA)” program to pursue his PhD study. He earned his PhD degree in Biochemistry from the University of California, Los Angeles. Thereafter, Prof. Huang received his postdoctoral training at the National Cancer Institute, the National Institutes of Health in the USA. During this period, Prof. Huang was the first to report that the two major intracellular transportation systems of mammalian cells, the microtubule- and actin-filament-based system directly interact with each other through their motor proteins, kinesin and myosin. Later, he established his own laboratory at the University of Hong Kong. Prof. Huang’s current research focuses on synthetic biology and intracellular transportation. Prof. Huang have created novel genetic circuits for the control of gene expression and hence biological behavior. He also generated several vaccines by using synthetic biology approach and programmed bacteria as tumor therapeutic drug. Prof. Huang was the first researcher in the greater China region to publish a paper in synthetic biology in Science.

Yahia CHERGUI is a lecturer in Electrical & Electronics Engineering Institute, Boumerdes Algeria. He has completed his PhD from Badji Mokhtar University in Annaba, Algeria. He did all his PhD work in Cardiff University in UK. His research field is Physics(condensed matter, simulation by molecular dynamics). He has many published articles and international conferences. He has been serving as a referee with condensed matter journal (IOP), Energy journal (Elsevier), and recently accepted to be a reviewer of American Journal of Modern Physics.

Dr. Tsang is the Chief Scientific Officer of Precision Biologics, Inc. USA and has a join appointment with National Cancer Institute, NIH. Dr. Tsang's research interests are in cellular immunotherapy; tumor immunology; cancer vaccines; CTL epitopes. The Cellular Immunology Group studies the role of the human immune response to tumor-associated antigens. We are working to define and develop immunodominant peptide epitopes and modifications of these toward the optimal activation of human immune responses to tumor-associated antigens (TAAs). Additionally, we are involved in studying mechanisms to enhance the potency of antigen-presenting cells for specific T cell activation and to decrease the suppressive effects of regulatory T-cells. We are also developing immunologic methods and immunoassays to better define the patients' immune responses to vaccines, standard of care therapy, and immune checkpoint inhibitors. The goals are to find suitable biomarkers for prediction of response to immunotherapy and for monitoring of patients during and after immunotherapy. In addition, we are investigating a monoclonal antibody against human suppressive regulatory T cells known to mediate ADCC, CDC and blockade of the of the CEACAM5/CEACAM1 immune checkpoint inhibitory pathway. Dr. Tsang is an inventor on 16 patents and patent applications. Dr. Tsang has received NCI, NIH Performance Awards; Federal Technology Transfer Awards for works in cancer vaccines and T cell epitopes NCI, NIH Group Merit Award for “Development of a prostate cancer vaccine programmatic effort”; Certificate of appreciation in grateful recognition of outstanding contributions to research innovation, NCI, NIH.

Dr. Hossein Akbarialiabad M.D.M.Sc. has been involved in multi-disciplinary research in the areas of global/public health, mentorship in academic medicine, oncology and digital health( digital phenotyping and artificial intelligence). Dr. Clive Yik-Sham CHUNG received first-class honors BSc degree in chemistry at The University of Hong Kong (HKU) in 2008. He then studied his PhD with Prof Vivian Wing-Wah Yam, focusing on the development of emissive platinum(II) complexes and supramolecular assemblies for biosensing, live-cell imaging and functioning as stimuli-responsive materials. After obtaining his PhD in 2013, he did his postdoctoral training with Prof. Chi-Ming Che at HKU on inorganic medicines and nano-formulations for drug delivery. In 2016, he received Croucher Postdoctoral Fellowship and moved to UC Berkeley, working with Prof Christopher J. Chang on molecular imaging to unravel roles of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and copper in biology. In 2018, he moved to Novartis-Berkeley Center for Proteomics and Chemistry Technologies in UC Berkeley, working with Prof. Daniel K. Nomura on chemoproteomics and mass spectrometry (MS) for discovering covalent ligands that can modulate autophagy and mTORC1 signaling. In May 2020, Dr CHUNG re-joined HKU as an Assistant Professor in the School of Biomedical Sciences and Department of Pathology. His lab is now actively working in the field of chemical biology, particularly interested in: (1) studying cellular redox biology, (2) advancing proteome-wide cysteine profiling, (3) developing new therapeutic covalent ligands for targeted cancer therapy, and (4) preparation of new nanomaterials for treating cancers.

Dr. Rahman Ud Din currently works as a Post-Doctoral Fellow in The Faculty of Medicine, The University of Hong Kong. Dr. DIN obtained his PhD in Life Science from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Dr. DIN's research interests include mechanistic and structural exploration of metazoan DNA replication initiation, G-quadruplexes , mechanistic exploration of cancer therapeutic pathways of FDA approved anti-cancer drugs and discovery of novel therapies for Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia.

Elena Drozdova a cardiovascular surgeon. Having taken an extensive practice in the field of vascular surgery, she mainly specializes in the problems of vein thromboses, urgent vascular surgery and vascular access for the patients on hemodialysis. She graduated from Samara State Medical University in 2006. In 2007 after the specialization in Samara Regional Clinical Cancer Center she got a certificate in General Surgery. Later in 2012 she finished Cardiovascular Surgery Residency at Samara State Medical University and got a Certificate of Cardiovascular Surgery. She is an author of a number of medical articles and was offered the position of editorial board member in some journals. Research interest: There are some inconsistencies between practice and dogmas; moreover, she thinks that many of laboratory tests make it more difficult to analyze the data because of their number and low specificity, so we can see neither solution nor direction in which this problem may be solved

Amir Sh. Saljooghi received his B.Sc. in Chemistry from Tehran University in 2003 and completed his doctorate (in 2010 as a bioinorganic chemist) in chelation therapy of thalassemia drugs with Prof S. J. Fatemi. He joined the Department of Chemistry at the Ferdowsi University of Mashhad in 2010, where he is now Associate Professor of Inorganic Chemistry, as well as graduate advisor and Head of Chemistry Department. His scientific interests are firmly based in the areas of Inorganic Nanobiotechnology. Our projects focus on the design and synthesis of inorganic nanocarriers (MOFs, MSNs, and etc) for the targeted delivery of anticancer drugs in vitro and in vivo. He has published more than 50 research papers and 10 books.

Immunologist for 15 years, I have been in charge of a research team involved in the development of new immunotherapies against cancer for 9 years in the pharmaceutical industry. We developed several axes regarding different aspect of immunotherapies. Indeed, in the context of hematologic and solid tumors, we achieved to generate (i) new blocking antibodies against several immune checkpoint molecules (ICP) and (ii) CAR-T cells targeting tumor specific antigens, ICP and the tumor microenvironment. Undertaking all these knowledge in cancer resulted in the development of immunosuppressive molecules, initially involved in tumor escape, to dampen auto-immunity and improve transplant acceptance. These successes were made possible through strong collaborations with academic institutions such as Pasteur Institute, CEA and INSERM and an excellent teamwork.

Dr. Wagner is a Clinical Psychologist and Senior Research Scientist. He has conducted behavioral and health services research for over 25 years, including over 20 years of research conducted in Uganda. Most of his research has been in the area of HIV primary and secondary prevention, where he has developed and evaluated several depression care and medication adherence interventions in controlled clinical trials. His current research on cervical cancer screening promotion draws on similar research he has conducted in the context of HIV prevention advocacy interventions.
