Dr. Kartoosh Heydari obtained his MD (2001) from Linkoping Health University, Sweden. He has held various senior positions in Biomedical and Biotechnology fields at Stanford-Yale-University of California Berkeley (2001-2018). Currently Dr. Heydari is the Director of FACS Facility and Associate Scientific Director of IND development at Stanford Healthcare-Cellular Therapy Facility (SHC-CTF), Stanford. He has published more than 20 publications in peer-review journals (PNAS, Cell, NEJM, Blood, …), has been the editor of various journals on Immunobiology, Cancer, High-Dimensional (Hi-D) Fluorescence-Activated Cell Sorting and Infection subjects.

Dr. Naoual Oukkache leads the Venoms and Toxins Laboratory at the Pasteur Institute of Morocco. Driven by passion, Naoual excels in animal venoms and antivenoms focusing on proteomics, pharmacology, antibody engineering and preclinical studies. She trained and collaborated with several institutes including Marseille University of Medicine, Butantan Institute, Cuernavaca Biotechnology Institute, Kuala Lumpur Monash University; as well as the Atheris and Bioclon companies. National currently participates in clinical studies and develops innovative antivenoms. Dr Oukkache is co-author of more than 50 scientific publications, member of the editorial board of international journals, a member of scientific committees and societies, and a member of the WHO expert committee on Ophidian envenomations. She is also a member of several national and international projects has recently been nominated as a champion in the international campaign "Women Champions of Snakebite" and selected to participate in the international awareness campaign against Ophidian envenomations.

Dr. Wei Wu is an Associate Professor and Associate Department Chair in the Department of Toxicology at Nanjing Medical University, China, where he received his Ph.D. in Toxicology in 2012. He was a guest researcher at the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) between 2017 and 2018. He is the PI of State Key Laboratory of Reproductive Medicine and the PI of Key Laboratory of Modern Toxicology of Ministry of Education. He is a member of different national and international societies in the fields of human reproduction and toxicology, and has received awards from many national societies for the originality and quality of his projects. He has a wide range of teaching and consulting experience, including in the area of toxicology. His research interests include application of new media technology in teaching, epigenetic mechanisms of transgenerational effects of male infertility induced by endocrine disrupting chemicals, environmental exposure and male reproductive health, genetic and epigenetic risk factors of male infertility and abnormal fetal growth. Prof. Wu has authored 75 peer-reviewed papers in international journals such as Environmental Pollution, EBioMedicine, Clinical Epigenetics, Environment International, Toxicological Sciences, Environmental Health, Human Reproduction, and Molecular Human Reproduction. He has edited four books and collaborated on nine books, 17 patents and in the organization of three international conferences. He is a reviewer of 103 journals. Prof. Wu serves as the Editor-in-Chief of international scientific journals International Journal of Sexual Health and Reproductive Health Care, Research International Journal of Endocrinology and Diabetes, Executive Editor of Annals of Molecular and Genetic Medicine, Associate Editor of the JSM Invitro Fertilization, and editor of many other journals including Scientific Reports and Medicine.

Dr. Frank LoVecchio, DO, MPH is a Professor of Emergency Medicine, Pharmacology, and Medicine at the University of Arizona and Creighton College of Medicine. Dr. LoVecchio is the Principal Investigator for the Infectious Disease Network (IDNet) studies, a group of Emergency Departments funded through the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) to conduct Infectious Disease trials. These studies include MRSA, C-difficile, and cellulitis. I have been a site investigator on seven NIH grants awarded through the Emergency Medicine Network (EMNet) and received > 20M in funding for research related to emergency medicine, toxicology and addiction medicine. Dr. LoVecchio is board-certified in Addiction Medicine, Medical Toxicology, Medical Forensics, and Emergency Medicine.

Prof. Dimitrios Nikolelis has coordinated 3 European Projects on environmental biosensors (CIPA96-0231, IC15-CT96-0804 and QLK3-2000-01311). He also was twice a. NATO Director in the following Advanced Research Workshops: 1. Biosensors for Direct Monitoring of Environmental Pollutants in Field, Smolenice, Slovakia,: May 1996 and 2. Portable biosensors for the Rapid Detection of Biochemical Weapons of Terrorism, July 2012. Prof. Dimitrios Nikolelis has over 200 scientific papers in scientific journals and conferences. He is the Editor of 5 books on Biosensors (1. Biosensors for Direct Monitoring of Environmental Pollutants in Field, Springer, 1996, 2. Prof. D. P. Nikolelis group has recently utilized graphene and ZnO to develop chemical nanosensors based on polymer lipid films for species of clinical or food significance such as urea, uric acid, cholesterol, etc. In progress, there is the evaluation and validation of nanosensors that are based on stabilized polymerized lipid films supported on glass fiber filters using a dry spot test using optical methods of analysis (i.e., fluorescence) to detect environmental pollutants such as insecticides, plant hormones, toxins, hydrazines, etc.

Dr. Mihail Lucian Birsa is currently a Professor in the Department of Chemistry at the Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iasi, Romania. In 2003 he was selected as a member of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, working with Professor Henning Hopf in TU Braunschweig - Germany. Since then numerous return fellowships were granted by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. He has more than 100 publications in peer-review journals and published +40 books/book chapters (John Wiley & Sons, Thieme etc). Also, is editorial board member in more than 50 journals such as Applied Sciences, Arkivoc, BioChem, Edelweiss Chemical Science Journal, Journal of Medicinal Chemistry and Drug Design, Journal of Fine Chemical Engineering, Modern Approaches in Drug Designing, Pharmaceutical Toxicology.

Dr. Laura Gabriela SARBU is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iasi, Romania. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the same university in 2007. She joined the master program at Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iasi in 2007, and in 2015 she was awarded with a Ph.D. degree in Organic Chemistry. During the Ph.D. program she joined several times the Prof. dr. Henning Hopf research team in TU Braunschweig – Germany.

He is a Full Professor and the Dean of the Faculty of Science, Al-Azhar University, Assiut, Egypt. His principal research interests focus on Biology and Ecology of Fishes, Sustainable Aquaculture and Ecotoxicology. He earned his Ph.D. at Humboldt University Berlin, Germany in 2007. Afterwards, he has succeeded to get a highly appreciated Alexander von Humboldt, postdoctoral research fellowship. He did his postdoctoral stint (2010-2012) at Leibniz Institute of Freshwater Ecology and Inland Fisheries, Berlin, which is one of the most important Institutes worldwide studying various aspects of aquatic freshwater ecosystems. In October 2012 he was awarded a return fellowship from Alexander von Humboldt foundation. From June 2013 till June 2018, he was Associate Professor in the Faculty of Science, engaged in research and teaching. In 2018, he became a professor in the Faculty of Science, Al-Azhar University (Assiut Branch). Afterward, He occupied a position as the Head of the Department of Zoology, Faculty of Science, Al-Azhar University (Assiut Branch). Currently, he is the Dean of the Faculty of Science, Al- Azhar University (Assiut Branch), Assiut, Egypt. Recently, he succeeded to transfer the innovative ecotechnology for aquaponic (aquaponic system for a (nearly) emission-free tomato and fish production in greenhouses (ASTAF-PRO)) to Egypt in the framework of the Research Group linkage Program funded by Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, creating University’s first aquaponics greenhouse in Egypt (Al- Azhar Aquaponics). He Published three books and contributed during the last years, 70 peer-reviewed papers being mostly the first author. Also, some of his results were presented at international conferences around the world. He managed to obtain several Funds and Fellowships from several national and international organizations (STDF, ASRT, AvH) based on his record and potential concerning Biology and Ecology of Fishes, and Aquaculture. Besides these experiences as a research leader and fundraiser, He obtained a wide range of experiences as a reviewer, editorial board member, and journal editor-in-chief.
