Professor Minasian is a Chair Professor with the School of Electrical and Information Engineering at the University of Sydney, Australia. He is also the Founding Director of the Fibre-optics and Photonics Laboratory. His research has made key contributions to microwave photonic signal processing. He is recognized as an author of one of the top 1% most highly cited papers in his field worldwide. Professor Minasian has contributed over 393 research publications, including Invited Papers in the IEEE Transactions and Journals. He has 80 Plenary, Keynote and Invited Talks at international conferences. He has served on numerous technical and steering committees of international conferences. Professor Minasian was the recipient of the ATERB Medal for Outstanding Investigator in Telecommunications, awarded by the Australian Telecommunications and Electronics Research Board. He is a Life Fellow of the IEEE, and a Fellow of the Optical Society of America.

Marc Debliquy received his Ph.D. at Faculty of Engineering in Mons (Belgium) in1999. He joined theSochinor Company in 2000. He left in 2003 for joiningMateria Nova, research center in Mons dedicated to advanced materials. He was responsible for the research activities in the field of gas sensors. Since October 2008, he joined the Material Science Department of Faculty of Engineering of University of Mons and worked as a team leader of semiconductor and sensor group. He was promoted as associate professor in September 2013. His main research interest is smart coatings for chemical detection. This researchresulted in the publication of about 75 articles in international journals, 6 book chapters, 75 presentations in international conferences and 5 patents.He is also co-founder of the spin off company B-Sens.

Huangxian Ju, Changjiang (Cheung Kong) Professor, the director of State Key Laboratory of Analytical Chemistry for Life Science, Nanjing University; Fellows of the International Society of Electrochemistry and the Royal Society of Chemistry. His research interests include analytical biochemistry, nanobiosensing, and molecular diagnosis, focusing on signal amplification and life analytical chemistry. He has published 767 papers in peer-reviewed journals (487 papers in journals with IF>5), 29 patents, 5 English books, 8 Chinese books. Up to September 9, 2021, his research works have >36100 citations in SCI journals with an h-index of 98 (Google Scholar h-index 107, >41000 citations), and have won the first outstanding achievement award of Chinese chemical sensors in 2019, 3 first-class, 3 second-class and 2 third-class S&T prizes from Jiangsu Province Government, 3 first-class prizes in natural science from Education Ministry of China, 3 first-class S&T prizes from Chinese Association for Instrumental Analysis. Biography: Dr. Wanqin Jin is a professor of Chemical Engineering at Nanjing Tech University, Fellow of Royal Society of Chemistry, the Deputy-director of the State Key laboratory of Materials-oriented Chemical Engineering and the Chief-scientist of the National Basic Research Program of China (973 Program) and Major Program of National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC). He received his Ph.D. from Nanjing University of Technology in 1999. He was a research associate at Institute of Materials Research &Engineering of Singapore (2001), an Alexander von Humboldt Research Fellow (2001-2013), visiting professors at Arizona State University (2007) and Hiroshima University (2011, JSPS invitation fellowship). His currently research focuses on the development of membrane materials and processes. He has published over 300 refereed journal publications including Nature, Nat. Rev. Mater., Nat. Comm., Adv. Mater., Angew. Chem., J. Am. Chem. Soc., AIChE J., J. Membr. Sci., Chem. Eng. Sci. with 19300+ citations; written 2 monographs, contributed 6 book chapters and hold 40 authorized patents. He was co-chair of the 10th International Congress on Membrane and membrane Processes (ICOM2014), and he is now an editor of Journal of Membrane Science and a council member of Aseanian Membrane Society (AMS). In 2019, his research has been recognized by the IChemE (UK) Underwood Medal for his leading research in the area of separation.

Mehdi Javanmard is an Associate Professor in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at Rutgers University. He received the BS (2002) from Georgia Institute of Technology and the MS (2004) and PhD (2008) all in electrical engineering from Stanford University. During his time at Stanford, he worked on the development of electronic microfluidic platforms for low-cost genomic and proteomic biomarker detection, and later worked as a Senior Research Engineer at the Stanford Genome Technology Center. In Fall 2014, he joined the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, Rutgers University as an Assistant Professor. His research interests include developing portable and wearable technologies for continuous health monitoring and understanding the effects of the environment on health. In 2017, he was recipient of the Translational Medicine and Therapeutics Award by the American Society for Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics for his group's work in point of care diagnostic tools for assessing patient response to cancer therapies. He has received various awards as a Principal Investigator from the National Science Foundation, National Institutes of Health, DARPA, and the PhRMA foundation to support his research. He was awarded the National Science Foundation CAREER Award for young faculty in 2019 and the DARPA Young Faculty Award in 2020. Dr. Guerrero-Cusumano is a Tenured Associate Professor at the Georgetown University. He is a faculty of the Operations and Information Management (OPIM) group at Georgetown Business School. He has been a member of the faculty at Georgetown since 1989. He holds a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering and a Master of Sciences in Statistics degree from the Mathematics Department of the University of Illinois and he is also an Economics Statistician from the School of Economics Science, Rosario University, Argentina. In 2008, He was awarded an Honorary Doctorate, Doctor Honoris Causa in Administration by Ovidius University (Romania). Narito Kurata is a Professor of the Architectural and Structural Engineering Division in the Graduate School of Technology and Science at Tsukuba University of Technology, Tsukuba, Japan. He received his B.S. degree from Waseda University, Tokyo, Japan, and his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Structural Engineering, University of Tokyo, Tokyo, Japan. He was responsible for the research and development of innovative sensors and sensing systems in the field of structural health monitoring of buildings and civil infrastructures. His research interests include wireless senser network systems, MEMS acceleration sensors, autonomous time synchronization sensing technology with chip-scale atomic clock, indoor GNSS time information delivery system, digital sensing platform, and structural control for smart cities.

Dr. Chenxu Yu completed his Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2003, and did postdoctoral studies at Penn State University and Purdue University before joining the faculty at Iowa State University in 2007. He has published more than 100 papers in peer-reviewed journals and has been serving as an editorial board member of five reputed journals. His research interests are in the areas of bionanotechnology and biosensors, food and bioprocess engineering, spectroscopic imaging and bio diagnostics, environmental monitoring, and engineering.

Gary Pickrell is a Professor in Materials Science and Engineering; Associate Director of the Center for Photonics Technology in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at Virginia Tech; and the Rolls Royce Commonwealth Director and Technical Advisory Board voting member to CCAM, Commonwealth Center for Advanced Manufacturing. He has been honored as a Fellow of SPIE (2016), Senior member of IEEE (2010), Faculty Fellow (2007), Outstanding Assistant Professor (2005), and R&D 100 award (2004). He has over 200 publications, including 20 books authored or edited, 4 special Journal issues, and 20 patents issued. He has chaired ~ 25 international conferences, served on the organizing committee for ~ 40 conferences and has been the PI on over $9 million in funded research and a PI/coPI on over $117 million while at Virginia Tech. Previous to academia, he held various industrial positions such as process engineer, R&D Scientist, Technical Director, and member of the Board of Directors for various organizations. He has served on many technical advisory boards and review panels for both industry and government including NSF, DOE and twice on a Triennial Review of Naval Research Lab facilities, personnel and research projects. He is a consultant in the area of advanced experimental design techniques, process improvement strategies and various aspects of materials product and process optimization.

Rebeca P. Diaz Redondo is a Telecommunications Engineer (1997) with a PhD in Telecommunications Engineering from the Universidade de Vigo (2002) and an Associate Professor at the Telematics Engineering Department at the same university since 2005. In June 2020 obtains the national accreditation as Catedratica de Universidad. Since 2012 belongs to the AtlanTTIC research center at UVIGO) within the Information & Computing Lab (I&CLab, which has found and co-coordinates together with professor Ana Fernandez Vilas. Currently composed of 12 researchers, I&CLab focuses its activity in the following areas: data analysis, distributed and coordinated networks of devices and artificial intelligence; to offer solutions to complex problems in dynamic contexts. The combination of the previous technologies supports decision making in different sectors, such as smart cities, sensors orchestration, financial markets, etc. In the last 5 years, Rebeca has participated in 5 research projects and has led 2 of them (financed by the Spanish National Research plan). She often collaborates with companies in the ICT sector to transfer knowledge from university to society.

Pascal Lorenz received his M.Sc. (1990) and Ph.D. (1994) from the University of Nancy, France. Between 1990 and 1995 he was a research engineer at WorldFIP Europe and at Alcatel-Alsthom. He is a professor at the University of Haute-Alsace, France, since 1995. His research interests include QoS, wireless networks and high-speed networks. He is the author/co-author of 3 books, 3 patents and 200 international publications in refereed journals and conferences. Yu-Lung Lo received his B.S. degree from National Cheng Kung University (NCKU), Tainan, Taiwan, and his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Mechanical Engineering, University of Maryland, College Park, USA. He has been faculty of the Mechanical Engineering Department, NCKU, since 1996, where he is now a distinguished professor. He was Director of Instrument Development Center and Chairman of Department of Mechanical Engineering at NCKU. Dr. Lo received Research Excellence Award, Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) in Taiwan, 2019; Fellow of Chinese Society of Mechanical Engineers (CSME) in Taiwan, 2019; Fellow of Society for Experimental Mechanics in USA (SEM), 2018; ASE Scholar in Research Excellence, Taiwan, 2017; and Outstanding Award for Professor in Engineering, Chinese Society of Mechanical Engineers in Taiwan, 2013. Also, he received the First-Class Research Award from National Science Council (NSC), 2005/2006, and the Dr. Ta-You Wu Award for Young Researchers from NSC, 2002. He was invited to be an invited speaker, keynote speaker, and plenary speaker in the optics related international conferences, and also organized and chaired section of international conferences. Now he is Chairman of Asian Society of Experiment Mechanics (ASEM) and General Chair of International Symposium on Optomechatronic Technology in 2017. His research interests include biophotonics, optical sensors, optomechatronics, experimental mechanics, and 3D printing. He has authored over 160 journal publications and has filed for several patents. One of his articles is included in Spotlight on Optics by OSA in 2015.

Md. Azahar Ali is an Assistant Professor at Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, VA, in the Department of Animal and Poultry Sciences. His research interests include biosensors, advanced manufacturing, nanomaterials, MEMS sensors, disease biomarkers (livestock), and Wearable platforms. His current research focuses on 3D printed biosensors for pathogens and biomarker sensing. Prior to joining Virginia Tech, he was a postdoc in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, PA. He also worked at Iowa State University, Ames, IA, in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering as a postdoc research associate, where he received a Postdoctoral Scholar Research Excellence Award in 2019 for developing field-deployable MEMS-based plant/soil sensors to map nitrate dynamics. He obtained his Ph. D. degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad. He has co-authored of 62 peer-reviewed papers in the areas of biosensors in reputed journals, a textbook, book chapters, many conference papers and filed six patents. Two of his patents were licensed. His works received many media coverage such as Advanced Science News, Phys.org, Nanowerk, and CMU Engineering News. His paper received the Outstanding Paper Award Finalist from a reputed conference, Transducers 2017, Kaohsiung, Taiwan. He also obtained a travel grant from Transducer Research Foundation, South Carolina, USA.

Ha-Duong Ngo was born in Vietnam, 1971. He studied in Kiev, Ukraine (former UdSSR) and Chemnitz, Germany. He received the German Diploma in 1998 from Technical University Chemnitz. He joined MAT (Microsensors and Actuators Technology Center at Technical University Berlin) in 1998 and worked in several projects on MEMS sensors and Actuators. From 2004- 2006 he was with Schott AG, where his R&D work focused on CMOS image sensors and Wafer Level Packaging Technologies for this kind of sensors. He received PhD on MOEMS from Technical University Berlin in 2006. By the end of 2006 he joined the Electrical Faculty and the Research Center for Microperipheric Technologies at Technical University Berlin as Associated Professor. He was head of Microsensors and Actuator Technology Center at Technical University Berlin and conducted several MEMS courses at Technical University Berlin until 2012. From 2012-April 2022 he was Group Leader Microsensors technology at Fraunhofer Institute IZM Berlin. From 2012 – he is Full Professor at the University of Applied Sciences Berlin and docent at Technical University Berlin. His present research interests include silicon, SOI and silicon carbide technologies, 2D nano materials, microsensors and actuators, AeroMEMS, Biosensors, quantum sensors as well as micromachining.

Dr. Sharif is the Charles J. Vranek Distinguished Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL). He is an IEEE Fellow and currently the Distinguished Lecturer for the IEEE Vehicular Technology Society. He is also the Director of the Advanced Telecommunications Engineering Laboratory at UNL. Dr. Hamid Sharif has made significant contributions to the field of wireless communication for mobile and vehicular applications. For the past three decades, his research in the wireless communications for surface transportation has produced many significant advances with profound impacts on rail communications in North America. He has published over 400 research articles in international journals and conferences. He has been serving on as an editor-in-chief and an editor on many IEEE and other international journal’s editorial boards. His research has been supported by NSF, DoT, DoD, DoE in US. He has been the recipient of a number of research awards and best papers.

Dr. Umut Arıöz is a researcher with doctorate at the Digital Signal Processing Laboratory, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, University of Maribor. Dr. Umut Arıöz received his PhD from The Medical Informatics Department at Middle East Technical University, Ankara (2012). His research interests include Biomedical Signal/Image Processing, Health Informatics, Audio/Speech Processing, Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning, Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Hearing Loss Simulation, Subjective Testing and Analysis Techniques, Psychoacoustics. He is the author of many journal articles at SCI/SCI-EXP index and conference papers, additionally 1 book chapter. He also participates to industrial, scientific and EU projects for more than 16 years. Up to now, he completed 7 different projects since 2008 and, currently working on a Horizon 2020 project as a researcher which is started in January 2020 (Topic: SC1-DTH-01-2019, Title: Patient-Centered Survivorship care plan after Cancer treatments based on Big Data and Artificial Intelligence Technologies (PERSIST), Proposal ID: 875406). His main research areas in the PERSIST project are multimodal sensing network, feature extraction from facial, speech and text sources, emotion and depression recognition and explainable artificial intelligence. He has memberships of International Organization for Human Brain Mapping, IEEE Member, Turkish Informatics Association, Medical Informatics Association and Turkish Chamber of Electrical Engineers.

Eleanor was born on 22nd of January 1983 in Muar, Johor. She is currently residing in Kuala Lumpur. She attended Primary and Secondary School in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor. She enrolled into University Putra Malaysia, Malaysia where she obtained a Diploma in Agriculture and graduated in 2003. Graduated her Bachelor Degree in Agricultural Science in 2008 and Master Science in Rural Advancement. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D in Agricultural Extension in University Putra Malaysia. She served as a Research Officer at Malaysian Remote Sensing Agency, Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) from 2008 until March 2015. Currently, she is working as Senior Research Officer at the Department of Fisheries Malaysia, Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry Malaysia, Putrajaya from March 2015 until present. Agricultural Science, GIS, Remote Sensing, Extension, and Social Survey are some of her areas of specialisation.

Dr. Wael Yafooz is an associate Professor in the Computer Science Department, Taibah University, Saudi Arabia. He was Associate Professor in the information technology department at Al-Madinah international university(MEDIU)-Malaysia and faculty dean. He received his B.S degree in the area of Computer Science from Egypt in 2002 while M.S degree in computer Science from the University of MARA Technology (UiTM)- Malaysia in 2010 as well as a PhD in Computer Science in 2014 from UiTM. He was awarded many Gold and Silver Medals for his contribution to a local and international expo of innovation and invention in the area of computer science. Besides, he was awarded the Excellent Research Award from UiTM. He served as a member of various committees in many international conferences. Additionally, he chaired IEEE international conferences in Malaysia and China. Besides, he is a volunteer reviewer with different peer-review journals. He supervised number of students at the master and PhD levels. Furthermore, He delivered and conducted many workshops in the research area and practical courses in data management, visualization, and curriculum design in the area of computer science. He was invited as a speaker in many international conferences held in Bangladesh, Thailand, India, China, and Russia. Ketut Tomy Suhari is a lecturer in Geodetic Engineering, Faculty of Civil Engineering and Planning, InstitutTeknologi Nasional Malang. Currently, he is pursuing a Doctoral program(Candidate) at the Faculty of Earth Science and Technology, InstitutTeknologi Bandung. In the course of his career, he was the main commissioner of PT. Amerta Geospatial Indonesia. He has a cadastral surveyor license as a working partner of the Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency of Indonesia and completed cadastral work such as comprehensive systematic land registration (national strategic program), topography, 3D customary cadastre assets, and others. Moreover, He is interested in research related to modern cadastre, culture, spatial-dynamics and 3D modelling (BIM).

Paola Zezza received the Bachelor degree in Chemistry and the Master degree in Photochemistry at the University of Bologna, Italy (2018). Currently, she is doing a phD in Chemsitry at the Politechnical University of Valencia. Her reasearch interests are focus on polymer science, biomaterials, photochemistry, nanotechnology and biosensors. Primarily, she is investigating hydrogel materials, employing different chemical modifications strategies, for applications as label-free biosensors.

Claran Martis is a Ph.D. candidate in the Electrical and Computer Engineering department at Stony Brook University, USA. He received his Bachelors in Electronics and Communication Engineering from VTU at St Joseph Engineering College, Mangaluru, India, in 2016 and his Master’s in Electrical Engineering from Stony Brook University, NY, in 2018.
