Brian Menell is a British / South African businessman with more than 25 years experience of in investing in and developing natural resources projects across Africa, North America, and South America. He is the Founder, Chairman, and CEO of TechMet, a private company building world-class projects that produce, process, and re-cycle technology metals critical to electric vehicles, renewable energy systems, and energy storage. One of TechMet’s largest shareholders is the United States International Development Finance Corporation (DFC – the US Government’s development finance institution). Brian Menell is also the Chairman of Brazilian Nickel, a private UK company developing nickel and cobalt production in Brazil, and a Director of US Vanadium. TechMet’s core investments include Brazilian Nickel PLC – Nickel and cobalt in Brazil; Li-Cycle – Lithium-ion battery recycling in Canada and the US; US Vanadium – Vanadium specialty chemicals production in Arkansas; Tinco – the largest tin and tungsten mines in Rwanda.

Dr. Jun Liu is a Washington Foundation Innovation Chair and Campbell Chair Professor at the University of Washington (UW), and a Battelle Fellow at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL). He also serves as the Director for Innovation Center for the Battery500 Consortium and President of the International Coalition for Energy Storage. Dr. Liu received the PNNL Life-Time Achievement Award, Battery Division Technology Award from The Electrochemical Society (ECS), two R&D100 Awards and the DOE EERE Exceptional Achievement Award. He is an elected member of Washington Academy of Science, a Materials Research Society (MRS) Fellow, an Electrochemical Society (ECS) Fellow, and an American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) Fellow. He has been ranked as a highly cited researcher in the world since 2014. He was named a Distinguished Inventor of Battelle in 2007, and was two times selected as PNNL's Inventor of the Year.

Prof. Masakazu ANPO is the Special Honor Professor & International Advisor of State Key Laboratory of Photocatalysis on Energy and Environment, Fuzhou University in Fuzhou in P. R. China since his retirement of Osaka Prefecture University (March 31st in 2015) where he worked for 40 years and served as Dean, Vice President and Executive Director, the Director of the R&D Center for Plant Factory, etc. and Advisor to President for last 10 years, and now is an emeritus professor. He is one of the pioneers in the research of photochemical reactions on solid surfaces including photocatalysis. Until today, he has published 116 scientific books including a recent new book entitled “Plant Factory Using Artificial Light” (Elsevier, 2018) as well as “Current Developments in Photocatalysis and Photocatalytic Materials” (Elsevier, 2020), and over 550 original papers in English, being cited more than 42,000 times. His dream is to establish “Solar Chemistry” which will play an important role in the environmentally-friendly science and technology. He is a member of Academia Europaea and Science Council of Japan as well as a Honorary Fellow of Chinese Chemical Society. He serves as the Editor-in-Chief of international journal, Res. Chem. Intermed. (Springer) and an editorial board of many international journals for a long time.

Professor Guoxiu Wang is the Director of the Centre for Clean Energy Technology and a Distinguished Professor at University of Technology Sydney (UTS), Australia. Professor Wang is an expert in materials chemistry, electrochemistry, energy storage and conversion, and battery technologies. Currently, he serves as an Associate Editor for Electrochemical Energy Reviews (Springer-Nature), an editorial board member for Energy Storage Materials (Elsevier). His research interests include lithium-ion batteries, lithium-air batteries, sodium-ion batteries, lithium-sulfur batteries, supercapacitors, hydrogen storage materials, fuel-cells, 2D materials such as graphene and MXene, and electrocatalysis for hydrogen production. Professor Wang has published more than 600 refereed journal papers with an h-index of 123. His publications have attracted over 50,000 citations. He has been recognised as a highly cited researcher in both Materials Science and Chemistry by Web of Science/Clarivate Analytics in 2018 and a highly cited researcher in Materials Science in 2019 and 2020.

Shaobin Wang obtained B.Sc. and M.Sc. from Peking University (China) and Ph.D from the University of Queensland (Australia). He was a John Curtin Distinguished Professor at Curtin University and is a professor at the School of Chemical Engineering and Advanced Materials, University of Adelaide. His research interests focus on synthesis and application of nanomaterials, carbon dioxide utilization, energy conversion, and environmental remediation. He is a Highly Cited Researcher in Engineering for 2016-2019 and in Engineering & Chemistry for 2020. He was recognized as Australian Lifetime Achievers Leaderboard-Top 40 Research Superstars by The Australian newspaper.

Gavin Allwright is the Secretary-General of the International Windship Association (IWSA). Established in 2014, this grouping of over 130 maritime wind propulsion companies and projects supported by ship owners, shipbuilders, classes, research institutes, academia, NGO’s and seafarers is working to promote and facilitate the uptake of wind propulsion solutions in commercial shipping. Alongside his work as association secretary, he also leads the policy workstream, requiring regular attendance at IMO and EU meetings and sits on the stakeholder's advisory committee for the MTCC network at the International Maritime Organisation (IMO). Gavin has presented at over 150 international fora, including the IMO, EU,CMA, SMM& Green Ship Technology along with regularly chairing the Natural Propulsion Seminar as part of Blue Week each year. He was also the coordinator for the ground-breaking ‘Ambition 1.5C: Global Shipping’s Action Plan’ summit at COP23 in Bonn in 2017. His work extends to being a non-executive board member for the World Wind Energy Association (WWEA), a work package leader on the EU Interreg Wind Assist Ship Propulsion (WASP) and advisor on various shipping decarbonisation projects. Heis also a regular guest lecturer at the UN World Maritime University (WMU) in Malmo, Sweden among others. Gavin holds a Masters degree in Sustainable Development, specialising in small scale sustainable shipping and logistics in developing countries. He has contributed to numerous studies, projects, books and articles on alternative propulsion solutions and helped coordinate and contributed to the UN-affiliated IRENA technical brief – Renewable Energy Options in Shipping and more recently was an expert reviewer for the IPCC special report on 1.5C climate change.

Dr Qiao joined the School of Chemical Engineering of the University of Adelaide (UoA) in March 2012 as a professor (the inaugural Chair of Nanotechnology). He is the founding Director of Centre for Materials in Energy and Catalysis (CMEC). Dr Qiao is currently an Honorary Professor at The University of Queensland.His research expertise is in nanomaterials for new energy technologies (electrocatalysis, photocatalysis, batteries, fuel cell). He has co-authored more than 442 papers in refereed journals, including Nature, Nature Energy, Nature Chemistry, Nature Materials, Nature Catalysis, Nature Communications, Science Advances, Angew Chem Int Ed, J. Am. Chem. Soc, Advanced Materials (over 715,200 citations, h-index: 137, Web of Sci). He has filed four patents on novel nanomaterials and attracted more than 13 million dollars in research grants from industrial partners and Australian Research Council (ARC).

Professor Yusuke Yamauchi received his Bachelor degree (2003), Master degree (2004), and Ph.D. (2007) from the Waseda University, Japan. After receiving his Ph.D., he joined the National Institute of Materials Science (NIMS), Japan, to start his own research group. After being granted the ARC Future Fellowship, in May 2016, he joined the Institute for Superconducting & Electronic Materials (ISEM), Australian Institute for Innovative Materials (AIIM), The University of Wollongong (UOW) as a full professor. In 2017, he moved to The University of Queensland (UQ). Presently, he is a senior group leader at AIBN and a full professor at School of Chemical Engineering. He concurrently serves as an honorary group leader at NIMS, a visiting/adjunct/honorary professor at over 50 universities in the world, and an associate editor of the Journal of Materials Chemistry A published by the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC). He has published more than 750 papers in international refereed journals with > 35,000 citations (h-index > 100). He is selected as one of the Highly-Cited Researchers in Chemistry in 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019. Recently, he was selected as one of Australia's Top 40 Researchers in a special Stars of Research Report published by The Australian.

After obtaining his Ph.D. from the P&M Curie University of Paris in 1998, Joel Gaubicher joined the University of Waterloo, Canada, as a post‐doctoral fellow with Prof. L.F. Nazar where he worked on phosphates and borates for Li-ion batteries. In 2001, he obtained a CNRS researcher position at the Institut des Matériaux Jean Rouxel in Nantes (France) and developed research programs dealing with Li Metal Polymer, Li‐ion, Na‐ion, Li/S batteries, and supercapacitors. His main interests deal with solid state electrochemistry of inorganic and organic electroactive materials through the investigation of synthesis and electrochemical mechanisms using operando physical characterizations. He was the recipient of a CNRS award for his research in 2013. More recently, he has been developing greener organic batteries as well as new strategies for pre lithiation of lithium‐ion capacitors.

Alain Celzard obtained his PhD in Materials Science and Engineering in 1995 on a confidential-defence topic related to carbon-based composites for radar stealth. Recruited as the youngest lecturer of his academy in 1996, he worked at the Laboratory of Inorganic Chemistry of Nancy (France) on all kinds of carbonaceous materials and taught for 9 years at the Faculty of Sciences & Techniques of Nancy. After obtaining a habilitation to direct research in 2002, he was appointed full professor at the age of 34 and took up a position at ENSTIB engineering school, which was specially created to set up new activities related to bio-based materials. It was there that he founded a branch of his laboratory in 2005, which became the "Biosourced Materials" team of Institut Jean Lamour (IJL) in 2012. IJL is presently one of the largest European lab dedicated to materials science. At the end of 2017, he left the management of the team to take over the management of one of the 4 scientific departments of the IJL, which currently has 7 research teams with a wide range of activities, from nanomaterials for health to embedded electronics, through biomaterials, microsystems and metamaterials. Alain Celzard develops a global approach to the study of materials for energy, environmental and electromagnetic applications: synthesis, characterisation, properties, modelling and integration. He also carries out fundamental research on complex, disordered, and/or porous heterogeneous systems, not forgetting their optimization for various applications. These studies have enabled him to (co-)author nearly 400 publications and book chapters and 8 patents, and have earned him the title of junior member of the Institut Universitaire de France, as well as 3 national awards including 2 first prizes, and 2 international awards.

Dr. MUTHANNA H. AL-DAHHAN is the Curators’ Distinguished Professor ofChemical and Biochemical Engineering and of Nuclear Engineeringat the Missouri Univ. of Science and Technology (Missouri S&T),as well as the College of Engineering and Computing Distinguished Professor. He is the past chairof the Dept. of Chemical andBiochemical Engineering (2009–2019), an AIChE Fellow, and the 2019 recipient of the Distinguished Alumnus Award of WashingtonUniv. in St. Louis Energy,Environmental, and Chemical EngineeringDept. He has published more than 240 peer-reviewed articles andgiven 53 plenary and keynote lectures, 157 invited talks, and 500 conference presentations.

Soshu Kirihara is a doctor of engineering and a professor of Joining and Welding Research Institute (JWRI), Osaka University, Japan. In his main investigation “Materials Tectonics” for environmental improvements of “Geotechnology”, multi-dimensional structures were successfully fabricated to modulate energy and materials flows effectively. Ceramic and metal components were fabricated directly by smart additive manufacturing, design and evaluation (Smart MADE) using high power ultraviolet laser lithography. Original stereolithography systems were developed, and new start-up company “SK-Fine” was established through academic-industrial collaboration.

Dr. Jinsong Wu is an official 2022-2023 Vice-President Conference Candidate in 2021 IEEE Communications Society Elections. He received 2020 IEEE Green Communications and Computing Technical Committee Distinguished Technical Achievement Recognition Award, for his outstanding technical leadership and achievement in green wireless communications and networking, and received 2017 IEEE Green Communications and Computing Technical Committee Excellent Services Award for his Excellent Technical Leadership and Services in the Green Communications and Computing Community. He was the leading Editor and a co-author of the comprehensive book, entitled “Green Communications: Theoretical Fundamentals, Algorithms, and Applications”, published by CRC Press in September 2012, which has been recognized as the very first comprehensive published book effort on green communications covering broad topics of green wireless communications, green wireline communications, general relevant green topics and applications in one book using a research perspective. His first-authored paper, "Big Data Meet Green Challenges: Big Data Toward Green Applications", won 2017 IEEE System Journal Best Paper Award. His second and corresponding authored paper "Energy-Efficient Cooperative Communication and Computation for Wireless Powered Mobile-Edge Computing" won 20 IEEE Sys1tem Journal Best Paper Award. His co-authored paper “A Survey on Energy Internet: Architecture, Approach and Emerging Technologies” won 2019 IEEE System Journal Best Paper Award. His co-authored paper “Green Industrial Internet of Things Architecture: An Energy-Efficient Perspective” won 2018 IEEE Green Communications and Computing Technical Committee Best Magazine Paper Award. Dr. Guerrero-Cusumano is a Tenured Associate Professor at the Georgetown University. He is a faculty of the Operations and Information Management (OPIM) group at Georgetown Business School. He has been a member of the faculty at Georgetown since 1989. He holds a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering and a Master of Sciences in Statistics degree from the Mathematics Department of the University of Illinois and he is also an Economics Statistician from the School of Economics Science, Rosario University, Argentina. In 2008, He was awarded an Honorary Doctorate, Doctor Honoris Causa in Administration by Ovidius University (Romania). Also in 2008-2010, he was elected a Fellow at the Judge Business School, Cambridge University, Great Britain. He was an Executive Editor of the journal Globalization, Competitiveness and Governability, Georgetown U-Universia, Spain, 2007-2010. Professor Guerrero Cusumano was a former academic director of the Corporate International Master’s (Master of International Business) at the Georgetown University School of Business. He was former Director of the International Institute on Government, Management, and Policy at Georgetown U. He serves as the business programs academic director for the Georgetown Center of International Education and Development. Sandra Manso is an Assistant Professor at the School of Management at Polytechnic Institute of Castelo Branco. She is the Coordinator of the Technical Scientific Department of Social & Human Sciences and President of the Pedagogic Council. She teaches subjects in economics, specifically Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Fundamentals of Economics, and Political Economy. Member of the Board of the Economics and Management Specialty of the Economists Bar. She holds an MSc in Economics and Political Science and a degree in Economics is a Ph.D. student in the Social Sustainability and Development Program at Alberta University (Portugal), and is developing her thesis “Development of a collaborative sustainability indicator system in rural communities: a case study of Beira Baixa, Portugal”. She was part of the “Cientificamente Provável” program, between 2018-and 2020, with the goal of disseminating scientific research conducted by the Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), through the promotion of partnerships that involved Secondary Education students. Her work had the goal of improving the students’ SD knowledge level (that is, knowledge, abilities, and skills), so that their future decisions are informed, and effective and promote a commitment to build a sustainable future. The special program took place in the Beira Baixa region. Kamil Talar, Energy Storage Manager, NRG Storage Spec. for energy storage in NRG Project sp. z o.o. Since 2008, he has been actively working for the development of green energy in Poland. In 2008, he actively participated in the organization of the XIV Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) - COP 14 in Poznań. He graduated from the University of Economics in Poznań, and then from Nottingham Business School, wherein in 2013 he defended his thesis in the field of offshore wind farm construction in the Baltic Sea by international Joint Venture entities. After 2013, he was associated with entities producing energy and developing renewable energy projects. Currently, he participates in projects of hybrid installations, photovoltaic installations with energy storage, and in innovative hydrogen projects.

Dr. Yardımcı is experienced in energy markets, economics of regulation, tariff applications, antitrust, energy exchanges, arbitration, mediation, negotiation, contracts, international business transactions, international law and energy law. He graduated from the Middle East Technical University (Turkey), Department of Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering in 2004. He joined an Executive Program on economics of regulation in the Michigan State University (USA) in 2008. Afterwards, he participated in Master of Law (LL.M.) at the Pennsylvania State University (USA) between 2013-2015. He completed Ph.D. on finance in the Hacettepe University (Turkey). He wrote a dissertation on the “Effectiveness of Regulation: An Investigation of the Turkish Natural Gas Distribution Sector”. He had been working as a reservoir engineer in an international oil company before he was recruited by the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA) of Turkey. He has been working for EMRA since 2006. He holds teaching positions at undergraduate and graduate levels in the Middle East Technical University, Bilkent University and Hacettepe University. He gives lectures in foreign universities such as Southwestern University of Finance and Economics (China), Cyprus International University and institutions such as Energy Regulators Regional Association (Hungary) as a visiting instructor or part-time instructor. He teaches economics of regulation, financing of energy investments, oil and gas law, petroleum property valuation, reservoir engineering, production engineering. He speaks at conferences on energy matters all over the world. Abdeen Mustafa Omer (BSc, MSc, PhD) is an Associate Researcher at Energy Research Institute (ERI). He obtained both his PhD degree in the Built Environment and Master of Philosophy degree in Renewable Energy Technologies from the University of Nottingham. He is qualified Mechanical Engineer with a proven track record within the water industry and renewable energy technologies. He has been graduated from University of El Menoufia, Egypt, BSc in Mechanical Engineering. His previous experience involved being a member of the research team at the National Council for Research/Energy Research Institute in Sudan and working director of research and development for National Water Equipment Manufacturing Co. Ltd., Sudan. He has been listed in the book WHO’S WHO in the World 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2010. He has published over 300 papers in peer-reviewed journals, 200 review articles, 7 books and 150 chapters in books.

Tianshou Ma is a Professor in the Petroleum Engineering School at Southwest Petroleum University (SWPU),and a postdoctoral fellow in Geotechnical Engineering at the Institute of Rock and Soil Mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). He received his Ph.D.degree inOil &Gas Well Engineering from the SWPU in 2015. His research interests focused on petroleum related rock mechanics and measurement while drilling (MWD), including rock mechanics characterization, wellbore stability analysis, lost circulation prevention, wellbore integrity, new MWD tools, and advanced drilling technologyofsafe and efficient drilling and exploitation forcomplex hydrocarbon reservoirs.He has published 60+peer-reviewed journal articles and 10+ peer-reviewed international conference papers, and received 10+ registered patents. He was invited to be a reviewer for 50+ scientific and engineering international journals, and was awarded as “Outstanding reviewer”8 times. He worked as co-chair or organizing committee member ofacademic conferences 10+ times, and he is anEditorial Board member of the Geofluids, Advances in Civil Engineering, Advances in Mechanical Engineering, and Energies, a Young Editorial Board member of the Natural Gas Industry, Journal of Central South University (Science and Technology), International Journal of Coal Science & Technology, and Petroleum.

Prof. Alexander Bagaturyants is chief researcher at the laboratory of Quantum Chemistry and Molecular Simulations, Photochemistry Center RAS, Federal research center Crystallography and Photonics Russian Academy of Science. He also holds a full professor position at the Department of Condensed Matter Physics, National Research Nuclear University "MEPhI" (Moscow). Alexander Bagaturyants was graduated from D.I. Mendeleev Institute of Chemical Technology, Moscow, Russia in 1962, obtained his Ph.D. degree, Dr. Sci. degree, and the academic title of professor in 1968, 1987, and 1992, respectively, all in physical chemistry. His main research interests are in the field of atomistic multiscale simulations of organic functional materials. Alexander Bagaturyants is a co-author of more than 200 research articles and the book “Multiscale Modeling in Nanophotonics: Materials and Simulations".

Dr. Lau is currently a Senior Lecturer in School of Engineering and Head of Common Engineering at Monash University Malaysia. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with 1st Class Honours from University of Melbourne, Australia. She then worked as a Mechanical Process Engineer in Agilent Technologies, Penang, Malaysia prior to obtaining her Doctor of Philosophy from University of Nottingham, Malaysia. Her primary research interests are in oil-contaminated soil remediation using the flotation technology, and fundamental studies in the flotation process. Besides laboratory-scaled flotation experiments for applications including oil-contaminated soil, oil-in-water emulsions, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in water as well as microalgae extraction, Dr. Lau also looks at the interactions between colliding particles such as bubble-particle and bubble-bubble attachments. Specialised equipment including force tensiometer, zetasizer, ultraviolet-visible spectrophotometry (UV-Vis), atomic force microscopy (AFM) and goniometer are employed for these studies. Her secondary research revolves around ionic wind, a heat transfer method induced by electrostatic forces linked to corona discharge arising at the edge of sharp conductors subjected to high voltages. Besides providing as an alternative heat transfer technology, with further exploration, the ionic wind is a promising renewable and sustainable form of energy.

Michael is Tech. Dr. in Transport & Road from Lund Technical University (LTH) and is now a researcher at Service Management at Lund University. Michaels research focuses on sustainable mobility, urban natural ecosystem services, and renewable energy in urban planning. Michaels research focuses on both environmental strategic and sustainable aspects of transport-, mobility- and ecosystem services impacts on urban spatial planning. Michael has developed planning knowledge and skills, professional judgment, and skills in sustainable development work at the local, regional, national, and international levels. The research comprises international perspectives with planning issues abroad and with projects concerning cross-border cooperation.

Hooda Started his career as TGT and served in schools of Haryana and Delhi for six years; During this period, completed M.A.(Math.) from PG Evening Institute of Delhi University; Thereafter, joined HAU, Hisar, as lecturer and rose to the position of Professor and Head, department of mathematics and statistics; Served CRM PG College, Hisar for two years as a principal and Pro Vice Chancellor of Kurukshetra University for five months; Dean (R) and HOD, Mathematics in Jaypee University of Engineering and Technology, Guna(MP). Publications: Guided 12 PhDs and published 124 research papers in various journals of National and International Repute; Authored 32 popular articles on development of science and mathematics education in schools, colleges and universities; Published 11 books in Mathematics and Statistics and one book titled “Aryabhata: His Life and Contributions”.

Prof. SHIVAKSHI JASROTIA is an Assistant Professor (Visiting Faculty) – Environment & Communication Skills at Delhi Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research (DIPSAR Govt. Of NCT, Delhi) and Post-Doctoral Fellow (Associate Fellow) - Climate Change and Global Environmental Research at TERI.org in collaboration with International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD). Doctor of Philosophy Ph.D.: Environment, Health & Phytoremediation for Thesis titled “Studies on a decentralized, solar energy based water supply and sanitation system for Arsenic affected rural areas and National Research Fellow : (Junior and Senior Research) Fellowship by MNRE (Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, India). Research interest: Environmental studies, Environmental pollution, Public health, Educational development, Climate Change, Hygiene, and Communication Skills.
